2022 Brings Great News!

Here we are almost 2 years later after starting the process, but today we learned that Jane has been cleared to move forward with her medical screening! This is such amazing news as the new year begins, we couldn't be more thrilled!! With the current pandemic still happening, Jane was allowed to have the screening done locally vs going out to ORM in Portland, and the results will be sent to ORM for review. The tests will be basic blood work and testing of the uterine lining to see if we are ready to proceed with IVF, and will likely take a few weeks after the appointment to receive the results. 🤞🏻

Prior to this great news, in October last year, we completed a little more paperwork with IARC and got our surrogate expense and escrow accounts funded after signing and entering into the GCA. October is also a very fun month for us as we put on a pretty high-tech Halloween Light Show on our home for the neighborhood, and last year we were able to continue the tradition of the entire neighborhood coming by to celebrate now that Covid restrictions had started to lift.

In November and December, we chatted quite a bit back and forth with Jane now that we had exchanged contact info. We seriously can't say enough good about her, we all just connect and have such similar personalities, and feels like we have known her our whole lives... she is just as excited for us and we truly admire the person she is.

Other than that, we were able to have a normal Christmas at our home again this last year, which is a very big part of our lives. We host both Ryan and Trent's families on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day respectively, and on top of that, we of course do an over-the-top Holiday Light Show on our home. We had a great time connecting with our families over the holidays, being able to share the amazing news of matching with Jane, it was one of the best holiday seasons we have had. ❤️

So now onto the next step... well we wait of course! Not too long now though, it's getting very exciting and we will post another update once we receive the medical screening results back from ORM.
